Ingredients
- 2/3 cup (160ml) warm water
- 1 tsp yeast
- 2 cups flour
- Pinch of salt
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Tomato paste
- Caramelised onions (with balsamic vinegar)
- Mushrooms
- Sundried and/or fresh tomatoes
- Olives
- JalapeƱos
- Salami
- Bacon
- Spinach
- Cheese
- Fresh basil
Method
- For the dough - place all ingredients in a bowl to combine, knead for 5mins, rise for 45mins. Repeat a rise cycle if you have time for extra soft dough.
- Caramelise the onions in a pan with balsamic vinegar.
- Chop all vegetables and grate the cheese.
- Roll out the dough and pre-cook it in the oven, preferably on a pizza stone.
- Add toppings in order - tomato paste, onions, all vegetables (spinach last), and finally cheese.
- Bake in the oven until the crust is browned and the cheese is golden and bubbly.
- Add fresh basil just before serving.
