- SCONE DOUGH
- 3 cups flour
- 5 tsp baking powder
- 75g butter, grated
- 3/4 cup milk

Method
- Preheat oven to 200°C.
- In a large bowl, grate butter into the flour and baking powder. Rub it in lightly with your fingers.
- Make a well in the centre and pour in the milk.
- Mix lightly until just combined—do not overmix.
- Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead briefly.
- Roll or press the dough out into a rectangle using a floured rolling pin or knuckles.
- Brush the surface with melted butter, then sprinkle generously with cinnamon and brown sugar.
- Roll the dough into a log and slice into scrolls.
- Place scrolls on a lined baking tray, touching or nearly touching.
- Bake for about 15 minutes at 200°C until golden.
